Celebrations erupted in Gaza after Israel and Hamas accepted the first stage of a Trump-brokered plan aimed at ending the conflict in Gaza. The first phase of the deal is a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and a hostage deal that would see the release of all remaining hostages in Gaza.

The previous ceasefire lasted from Jan. 19 to March 18, when Israel resumed military operations in Gaza.
