Police in Sydney's west are investigating the death of a seven-week-old baby.
Officers were called to a home in St Marys, in the city's west, about 4.15am after receiving reports a baby was unresponsive.
Paramedics performed CPR before the baby boy was taken to The Children's Hospital at Westmead, but died soon after.

Homicide Squad and local police have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the baby's death.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
