Wet and gloomy weather is set to dampen most of the country this long weekend for King Charles' birthday.
Most states and territories (except for Queensland and Western Australia which mark the day later in the year) will kick off the break this Saturday.

Saturday
Sydneysiders will see a wet start to their long weekend with a high chance of showers in the afternoon and evening on Saturday.
Westerly winds and cloudy skies will persist throughout the day with temperatures set to peak at 20 degrees and drop to 11.
Sunday
Showers will ease by Sunday, which is forecast to be partly cloudy with some winds continuing. Temperatures will remain the same.
Monday
More partly cloudy and windy conditions are expected for Monday, with only a slight chance of showers in the day.
It will also be a bit cooler as temperatures drop to a high of 19 degrees and a low of 10 degrees.

Canberra
Saturday
There is a medium chance of showers and winds in the morning before those conditions ease for the rest of the day.
Clouds, winds and temperatures of 16 degrees and a low of five degrees will hang over the city.
Sunday
More showers are expected to develop throughout the day as cloudy and windy conditions persist throughout.
The temperature will continue to drop to a high of 14 degrees and a low of three degrees.
Monday
Showers will finally clear by Monday but clouds and winds will remain.
It will be a frosty day with chilly temperatures of 13 degrees and a low of zero degrees.

Melbourne
Saturday
Melburnians will kick off the long weekend with a typical day of showers, clouds and winds.
Temperatures will sit between a high of 15 degrees and a low of 9 degrees.
Sunday
Heavy rain, clouds and winds will persist over the city as temperatures remain the same.
Monday
Showers will loom but slightly ease by the afternoon as clouds and light winds continue.
The temperature will drop to a high of 14 degrees and a low of six degrees.

Adelaide
Saturday
Northern suburbs will be under a morning fog before it clears to cloudy and windy conditions for the remainder of the day.
Similar to the rest of the country, rain will batter the city most likely in the evening as temperatures sit between seven and 17 degrees.
Sunday
Showers are forecast to fall and winds will lash in the morning.
Conditions are set to slightly clear to cloudy skies later in the day as the temperature remains about the same.
Monday
The end of the long weekend will be a cloudy day with some showers in the afternoon.
The temperature is warm a bit to a high of 19 degrees and a low of eight degrees.

Darwin
Saturday
Darwin will luckily escape the wet weather looming over the east and south coast with warm and sunny weather throughout the long weekend.
It will be sunny with light winds and temperatures reaching a 29 degrees.
Sunday
The sun will again be out as the mercury rises to 31 degrees.
Monday
Sunny and hot conditions persist with temperatures remaining about the same.

Hobart
Saturday
It will be a partly cloudy day with light winds. There may be showers in the evening.
Temperatures will sit between six and 14 degrees.
Sunday
The gloomy conditions will remain as rain is forecast to lash the city.
Temperatures will slightly drop to a top of 12 degrees.
Monday
Partly cloudy and windy conditions are expected, with temperatures remaining about the same.
There could be some showers later in the day.
