A 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit off of the coast of Western Australia about 1.45pm AEST (10.45am AWST time) today.
Geoscience Australia has received six reports so far of people who felt the earthquake, which hit a 10km ocean depth about 260km from Albany.
Locals near Mandurah, Augusta, Manjimup and Margaret River reported feeling the tremors.

It follows another 4.1 earthquake that hit regional NSW in the Upper Hunter region on Tuesday.
Victoria's south-west was also rattled by a 5.0 magnitude earthquake in October.
