The government of Guyana is creating a national database to make it easier to distribute future cash grants. This is part of the ongoing registration process for the $100,000 cash grant initiative, says the government in a press release on its web site.
The Guyanese government’s $100,000 cash grant is for every citizen aged 18 and over, not just heads of households. Initially, the plan was to provide $200,000 per household, but this was changed to $100,000 per adult to ensure fairness and simplicity.
