A major highway on Queensland's Sunshine Coast has been closed after a truck carrying an excavator crashed into an overhead bridge.
Emergency services were called to the Bruce Highway at Tanawha after the crash happened at about 8.45am (AEST).
Police said initial enquiries indicated a truck travelling southbound carrying an excavator hit the under side of the Ilkey Road overpass.

The overpass has a height limit of 5.4m for vehicles travelling under it.
No one was injured in the crash.
Police said multiple diversions have been put in place and the southbound lanes of the highway are expected to remain closed for most of the day.
According to government transport update website Qld Traffic, nearby Ilkley Road is also closed and diversions are in place via Maroochydore Road southbound.
Motorists have been told to expect long delays.
