Stolen bike pile in backyard so big it was visible via satellite

Hundreds of stolen bikes have been discovered in a UK backyard, with the pile was so big it was visible via Google Earth satellites.

The stash was discovered by Thames Valley Police in Littlemore, south-west of Oxford last week.

In a statement, police confirmed a man had been arrested following the discovery of the allegedly stolen horde.

The stash of stolen bikes was so large it could be seen via Google Earth satellites. Officers now have the hard task of identifying the owners of the bikes.

"A 54-year-old man from Oxford has been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and possession of criminal property following the execution of a warrant in Littlemore," police wrote.

Officers said they are currently attempting to identify the owners of the bicycles.
