A man has been arrested after the bomb squad was called and an emergency alert was declared in the Brisbane suburbs of Coorparoo and Wooloowin this afternoon.
Police issued a Public Safety Preservation Act warning In Coorparoo around 3.30pm this afternoon where a man has since been arrested in relation to an ongoing incident.
People in Stanley Street East, Tiber Street, Halifax Street, Milsom Street, Adina Street, Norman Avenue, Rome Street and Thackery Street are all in lockdown.

A declaration was also made around 4pm in Wooloowin where police confirmed a number of suspicious items had been found.
The emergency declaration effects people in the 100m vicinity of Hamley Street, including Adamson Street and Kedron Street.

"Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors until further notice," police said.
"The PSPA is related to the ongoing emergency declaration at Coorparoo."
A police bomb squad has been called to investigate.
