Man killed after truck plunged into Queensland creek

A man in his 60s has died after a truck plunged into a south-east Queensland creek this afternoon.

The truck veered off Beaudesert Beenleigh Road in Mundoolun, Logan, and into the body of water around 12.40pm.

Two more men who witnessed the incident attempted to remove the man from the truck and out of the water.

Paramedics, including critical care, tried to revive the man but due to his injuries, he could not be saved.

Police divers are still on the scene surveying the area.

Police have not confirmed how many people were in the truck when it crashed.

Fire and emergency services have arrived on scene and it's believed a crane will be necessary to remove the truck from the water.
