A toddler has died in Lake Macquarie after being hit by a car in a driveway.
The 22-month-old was treated by paramedics at Rathmines, New South Wales, about 2.30pm but could not be revived.
NSW Police confirmed the death and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

"A 38-year-old male driver has been taken to John Hunter Hospital for mandatory testing," NSW Police said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
