Woman charged over sister's alleged hit-and-run death granted bail

A young woman accused of killing her older sister in a hit-and-run in Melbourne has been granted bail.

It is alleged Asyai Luk, 22, and her older sister, 24, had been arguing in Sunshine when the fight turned physical.

Luk, a learner driver, is accused of being behind the wheel of an SUV which dragged her older sister along the road before crushing her against a parked car.

It's alleged Asyai Luk (in white hoodie) and her sister were fighting before the older woman's death.

Luk then allegedly drove from the scene.

Her sister was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with head injuries and later died.

Luk was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, failing to stop and failing to render assistance yesterday.

Today she was granted strict bail conditions which include reporting to police and not driving a car.
