Moment truck slams into car on Queensland road

Dashcam footage has captured the moment a truck slammed into a car on a Queensland road, leaving the other driver seriously injured.

The truck driver had been approaching a bend in a road at high speed in Chambers Flat, 40 minutes south of Brisbane when he veered onto the wrong side of the road.

The truck's trailer then swung after it as it turned the corner, smashing into another car.

The dashcam footage shows the trailer colliding with the four wheel drive, shattering the windshield.

Dash Cam Owners Australia said the driver suffered significant injuries, including several fractures to his back and neck.

The impact caused the bolts of the front seat to snap, shooting onto a baby seat in the back of the car.

"Luckily no child in car that day," the post read,

"Driver is recovering well and back on the road now."

The driver of the truck was fined $321 in relation to the incident for failing to have proper control of the vehicle.

Teens lucky to be alive after horror crash in Sydney

A car full of teenagers are lucky to have escaped alive after a horror crash in Sydney's south-west overnight.

Emergency services were called to Elizabeth Drive, Liverpool, after two cars collided about 8.40pm.

Police allege the 18-year-old driver of a Holden Commodore sedan lost control and crossed onto the wrong side of the road before colliding with an oncoming Mazda CX-3.

The sedan, which was packed with five teenagers, then burst into flames.

"The car was spinning from down there to up there, hit another car, went on fire," a witness told 9News.

Bystanders rushed to the aid of the teenagers trapped inside the car.

"Some very brave and quick thinking members of the public have removed the 18-year-old driver and his four passengers before it was destroyed by fire," Acting Inspector Jason Hogan said.

Firefighters fought the blaze but the vehicle was destroyed.

Two car crash in Liverpool results in fire.

A 16-year-old female passenger in the sedan was taken to Liverpool Hospital with serious leg and hip injuries and remains in a critical condition.

The 18-year-old driver of the sedan and three male passengers, aged 22, 16 and 15, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The 31-year-old female driver of the SUV was also treated for minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

"High speed is involved in such incidents," NSW Ambulance paramedic Dominic Carr said.

"There's bound to be serious injuries and we are very, very lucky on this occasion that a couple of them have serious injuries, there's still a long way to go but hopefully things will be on the mend."
