Covid-19 Probably DID Come From Lab In China, As First Suspected.

An American government report has concluded that dangerous virus research in a lab in Wuhan, China is the most likely cause of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 525-page report, released on Monday by the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, supports the theory that the virus leaked from a lab.

As the December 15 start of the winter tourist season approaches, some businesses in Jamaica are anticipating increased arrivals from Florida now that flights by American Airlines to the Ian Fleming International Airport have been upped to daily.

Barbados Does World’s First Climate Debt Swap For Water Plant.

Barbados has completed a unique debt-for-climate deal to fund water and sewage projects that can withstand climate change.

With help from international partners, Barbados replaced its old, expensive debt with cheaper financing. This saved US$125 million, which will be used to improve water management and make water and food more secure.

Kids’ Army–Haiti Children Make Up Half Of Armed Gangs, Says UN Report.

The head of the United Nations children’s agency said Monday that children make up about half of all armed gang members in Haiti and called for their enhanced protection.

“We estimate that children account for up to 50% of armed group members, while the total number of children recruited by armed groups has jumped by 70% over the past year,” UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell told a U.N. meeting on the situation of children in Haiti.
