A Broncos rugby league player has been fined $700 and disqualified from driving for six months after driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle while on a suspended license in Queensland.

Winger Selwyn Cobbo appeared in a Nanango court, in south-east Queensland today.

No conviction was recorded.

"I know I've done the wrong thing and I take full responsibility for that mistake," Cobbo said.

"I'll learn from this and I will strive to make better choices in the future."

The Broncos contacted the NRL Integrity Unit after last month's incident.

Broncos chief executive Dave Donaghy said the club did not condone the player's behaviour but would continue to support him on and off the field.

"The club acknowledges the importance of road safety and respecting road laws, as does Selwyn," he said.

"Selwyn has acknowledged to the club that he made an error in judgement on this occasion.

"Selwyn understands he will need to make better decisions in the future, particularly when it comes to complying with road safety."

Adelynn was found in a church in Cancun, shoeless and without her parents, almost a week ago.

Her mother, Australian woman Tahnee Shanks, is still missing.

Shanks' brother Ben and mother Leanne travelled from Queensland to Mexico to reunite with Adelynn, who has been issued an emergency Australian passport.

Now, the family is heading back to Australia as the search continues for 32-year-old Shanks and her ex-partner, Adelynn's father, Jorge Aguirre Estudillo.

"We just want to get her home. She's going to be well looked after," Leanne said.

"It's breaking my heart to go without Tahnee.

"We're leaving knowing that Tahnee is getting searched for in a very professional way, they're doing an excellent job."

The family is offering a $5000 reward for anyone with information about Shanks' whereabouts.

Shanks had been living in Mexico with Estudillo and was holidaying in the country's south when she disappeared.

Her brother confirmed the relationship between his sister and Estudillo had begun to deteriorate, with Shanks considering a return to Australia.

Witnesses say they believe it was Estudillo who left the young child at the church.

Shanks has not been heard from since last Sunday.

Estudillo is wanted for questioning but has not been located by authorities.

Two days after her house was ransacked by an intruder, a Bendigo grandmother says she is still scared to be in her home alone.

The man allegedly entered the home on Arnold Street in Bendigo North on Sunday morning and stole a handbag and car keys before the couple woke at about 2.30am.

Joanne Grey woke to the sound of someone in the living room and says she was forced to defend herself with a baseball bat.

"The adrenaline just hit when I realised he was in the house," she said.

Her husband Clinton rushed to his wife's aid by chasing the intruder outside.

Police found him on a nearby shed roof a short time later and arrested him.

The 24-year-old Maiden Gully man has been charged with aggravated burglary, theft, theft of motor vehicle, resisting police, and possessing a controlled weapon.

Facing court today, he made no application for bail and he will remain behind bars.

The man will face court again in Bendigo next month.
