Boaters say it's incredible that nobody was injured when an out-of-control boat launched up a ramp and onto a parked car at Mindarie near Perth.

CCTV captured the moment the vessel came flying into the boat ramp, where the impact with a waiting trailer caused it to lift out of the water and land on a nearby ute.

Andrew Macintyre, whose ute was partially crushed by the boat, fled to safety. His young son was in another boat that was narrowly missed.

"Suddenly this boat comes flying across us at unbelievable speed, basically launches itself off the top of my trailer," Mr Macintyre said.

"I had to run out of the way, literally, otherwise this boat was going to hit me."

An investigation is underway as to what caused the accident, with locals speculating it could have been the result of a mechanical or electrical failure.

"Something must have caught or accelerator might have jammed," said witness Steve Jambanis.

Chris Mather from the Department of Transport said everyone involved was lucky to walk away without injury.

"We'll be talking to both the skipper and witnesses to determine what happened," Mr Mather said.

"They were very lucky. Both were in shock. It could have turned out so much worse."

South Australian police are hunting a man who stormed into the home of an elderly Salisbury Downs couple, confronting them and stealing fistfuls of jewellery.

Officers were called to the property around 7.20pm yesterday, following reports a man had forced entry to the home by kicking open a rear door.

The owners, who were inside at the time, screamed for their daughter Isabella, who lives next door, to come to their aid.

Isabella told 9News that as she entered the home, she was confronted by the man, who gestured to his lips in an attempt to stop her screaming.

He then kicked through the front screen door and escaped with jewellery taken from the couple's bedroom.

"As he kicked the front door, he sort of leant over and gave me a wave," she said.

CCTV from a nearby property caught an image of the man, described as being Caucasian, around 185cm tall and wearing a grey sleeveless top and black pants.

No one was injured in the confrontation.

Officers from the Northern District are urging witnesses who may have seen the man to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A gunman has been reported inside a Brisbane business, with police blocking surrounding traffic as they investigate the incident.

It's believed the man entered the Compton Road business in Stretton, armed with a firearm, this afternoon.

Police have shut down traffic on Compton Road in both directions and it's understood several highly trained specialist police officers are on the scene.

Qantas is expanding its freight fleet to keep up with the growing online shopping market bolstered by the pandemic and Christmas.

It will convert two Airbus 330 aircraft – one will be used by Australia Post to deliver parcels around the country, and the second will serve the international network. These will be ready by 2023.

A third Airbus A321P2F freighter will join the Qantas Freight fleet this week which will also be used by Australia Post in the lead up to what's expected to be the busiest Christmas ever for air cargo.

"People are now used to and they expect that when they order something online, it's there within a day or two," Qantas CEO Alan Joyce told 9News.

"Qantas is getting itself ready for that demand… by Christmas, three Qantas A321 freighters will be in operation for Australia Post."

Australia Post CEO Paul Graham welcomed the addition, saying: "It's fantastic… bringing that capacity when it's needed, allowing that capacity to also roll through to the New Year as we continue to see growth."

Online sales initially driven by COVID-19 lockdowns show no signs of slowing down, and this year's extended Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales made November the biggest online shopping month in history.

Sales were up 13 per cent on last year and up 76 per cent on 2019.

Between November 22 and December 2, Australia Post delivered 2.3 million parcels every single weekday.

When the two A330 aircraft are ready in 2023 they will significantly increase capacity for both domestic and international freight.

"The converted A330 aircraft for Australia Post will be able to carry around 50 tonnes of cargo each flight, more than double the capacity of other freighters operating for the national postal service," Mr Joyce said.

Once the conversions are complete, Qantas will operate up to 25 dedicated freighter aircraft.

Qantas will also take delivery of three new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners during 2022.

South Australia has recorded four new cases of COVID-19 today, as the premier warns the public to expect more infections.

Today's cases are two men aged in their 20s and 60s and two women aged in their 30s and 50s.

A previous "mystery case" detected in Port Noarlunga who had no known links to an existing cluster has been declared a false positive.

SA Health says they have removed this case from their numbers and there is no risk to the public in that region.

During a press conference today, Premier Steven Marshall said it was likely the state would record small numbers of the virus every day as the country opens up.

"We are continuing to monitor the situation very carefully, particularly in NSW," he said.

"We should be expecting new cases every day here in South Australia."

Mr Marshall said the state was moving away from attempting to stop COVID-19 from crossing borders.

"Ultimately we're not as concerned about this process as we were three or four months ago. Three or four months ago a single case could lock down an entire state," Mr Marshall said.

"That's not what is occurring now.

"We're moving from an elimination strategy for community transmission to a suppression strategy – that's the advice we received from the Doherty Institute."

In South Australia, 90.3 per cent of people aged 16 and over have had one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 91.3 per cent are fully vaccinated.

There are calls for Instagram to remove an account belonging to Richard Pusey, after revelations the Porsche driver has been posting online rants about the Eastern Freeway tragedy that made him a household name.

The 43-year-old filmed and mocked four police officers as they lay dying on the side of the road in April last year.

They were struck by a truck after pulling Pusey over for speeding.

He spent ten months in prison following the incident but in recent weeks has been repeatedly referencing the tragedy, the victims and their families on social media.

In a post last month, the disgraced mortgage broker uploaded a photo of Senior Constable Lynette Taylor's widower, Stuart Schulze, with the caption: "'Diabolical act' says Stuart who has never contacted me or read my statement. Sorry to attempt to seek instructions from the last person alive Stuart. Sorry to attempt to ask your wife if she had anything to say to you or your family and then freak out."

Pusey also posted a video to a private TikTok account, apparently filmed from a car driving along the road where the officers were struck, with the caption: "Eastern Freeway sunset."

Other posts include anti-police and anti-jail rants and videos from inside his home, as he plays loud music with bright coloured strobe lights.

Former Victoria Police Commissioner Kel Glare told 9News Pusey needed to be "pulled into line".

"He's got no respect for police, no respect for the law, no respect for the public at large and no respect for the victims of his actions," Mr Glare said.

Pusey, who is currently on bail for unrelated charges, has been contacted for comment.

Two Melbourne golfers have managed to both score a hole-in-one on the same hole while celebrating one of their birthdays.

Michael Adams and Adam Faithfull both landed an ace at the fourth hole at Kew Golf Club on Friday.

It was Mr Adams' first-ever hole-in-one and a welcome present on his 64th birthday.

A two-year-old has died, while four others, including a baby, have been critically injured in a major crash involving a semi-trailer and three cars on the Calder Freeway in Melbourne.

The collision occurred about 2.30pm when a semi-trailer carrying grain struck three cars, including one towing a boat, on the Calder Freeway in Diggers Rest near the Bulla Road overpass.

A two-year-old child who was in the backseat in one of the cars has died.

Detective Sergeant Mark Amos said a one-year-old who was also in the car had been left fighting for its life, as had the children's mother and father.

Sergeant Amos said a driver of another car, a man, was also in a critical condition.

"This is just a catastrophe. It's an absolute disaster," he said.

Two people who were in another vehicle were not seriously injured.
