Premier Peter Malinauskas announced the major win for the state government this afternoon after months of negotiation, and as the international championship has seen record crowds this weekend.

"We have now secured a deal to keep LIV Golf here until 2031," Malinauskas said.

The deal comes with the option for the state to keep the tournament until 2031, with the latter three years contingent on the redevelopment of a golf course closer to the city in North Adelaide, which will be designed by Greg Norman.

"We want to make it easy for patrons and guests coming from interstate and overseas by having the golf in the CBD on a world championship Greg Norman-designed golf course," the premier said.

"We will now have something that is globally unique.

"If a kid grows up today in South Australia and say, 'you know what I want to play on the same course Cam smith does', they can't do it. In 2028 they'll be able to do it, they'll be able to play where their heroes play."

Norman said he was up to the unique challenge.

"The hardest thing in the world is to build a balanced golf course and I want all these people here around here at LIV Adelaide to be able to go there and enjoy the golf course," Norman said.

The government would not provide details on how much the upgrades would cost taxpayers, but said it would be a significant investment, creating a world class golf course right next to the CBD.

Westpac says its online and mobile banking services have been restored after customers reported having issues for at least six hours today.

Westpac took to X at 9.16am to initially apologise for the issues, which customers were still reporting by 3pm.

"We're aware that customers are experiencing issues accessing online and mobile banking. Our teams are working to fix the issue," the company wrote on X.

At 3.13pm, the company updated that the services had just been restored.

"We appreciate your patience today, and we apologise for any inconvenience," Westpac shared on X.

Thousands of customers reported the outage to website Downdetector, beginning at 7.43am, with 2625 reports received by 8.43am.

Many others took to social media to complain that they could not access their money.

"I'm stuck on the highway for hours waiting to pay for fuel," an X user wrote.

Others complained it was not the first outage in recent months.

"Sorry but isn't this the 4th time this has happened in the past 3/4 months?" one X user commented.

"I literally want to buy myself some food."

Westpac responded individually to some comments on X.

"Thanks for reaching out and I'm sorry you've been impacted in this way," one reply read.

"Know we're definitely here to help you, and so we can best do this, are you able to send us a Direct Message? Thanks in advance."

A Westpac spokesperson told 9news.com.au: "We're aware some of our customers experienced issues accessing online and mobile banking today. Services are restored and we apologise to customers for the inconvenience."

She was granted compassionate bail to attend a funeral but never returned.

Communities across Far North Queensland are still facing empty supermarket shelves a fortnight after a flooded highway cut off access to the region.

The bridge has been rebuilt and grocery stores have re-opened, but shoppers continue to battle extreme low supply in some areas, including in Cairns.

Most shelves at one Woolies store in Cairns remain bare.

A critical bridge on the Bruce Highway collapsed during the flooding last week and resulted in extreme delays in much-needed supplies of food, water and fuel to areas north of Townsville.

The Bruce Highway officially reopened across the Seymour River north of Ingham on Friday.

Melbourne influencer and food blogger Bianca, who also lives in Cairns for part of the year, shared footage of her local Woolworths store.

Fridges, freezers and shelves at the Cairns supermarket had been stripped bare as it desperately awaits resupply from a main distribution centre. 

"The shocking amount of rain that hit FNQ, causing flooding from Townsville to Cairns, didn't really hit us," Bianca said.

"However, because of road closures we are shut off from a lot of supplies as we are north of the affected areas… it's crazy and worse than Covid, if that was possible."

There are temporary limits in place for two per transaction for toilet paper, rice, bread, noodles, deli products and poultry at Woolworths stores north of Mackay.

In a statement shared with 9news.com.au, Coles Regional Manager Brad Stewart said the supermarket giant was working on resupply but it could take longer than anticipated.

"Our team here in Far North Queensland and across the eastern seaboard is doing everything possible to ensure our customers can access the groceries they need in our region, however it will take some time before the shelves are restocked with everyone's favourite items," Stewart said.

"Since Friday we've managed to transport more than 1300 pallets of food and groceries, that's on average more than 110 per store, including fresh produce, meat, dairy, bread and grocery essentials like toilet paper, water, soft drinks, snacks, pasta, rice and cereals.

"We want to thank our customers for their patience and our team for being there for the community during this very challenging time."

A Woolworths spokesperson said its "number one priority" is getting much-needed groceries to impacted areas in Queensland.

"Whether that's meant having trucks poised at the edge of floodwaters to cross the moment they recede, or airlifting stock into communities," the spokesperson said.

"We thank our teams in Far North communities who have now been working for over a week to keep the doors open for our customers in particularly challenging circumstances.

"The Far North spirit has really been on show through our customers' support for our teams, and we would like to thank them for their patience and understanding as we've worked to replenish shelves with any stock available.

"We ask our customers to continue to be mindful of others and only buy what they need."
