Off-contract NRL player Jamil Hopoate has been arrested on a serious drug charge.
The 26-year-old is in custody after being refused bail by police yesterday.
The son of former footballer John Hopoate is facing one count of supplying a prohibited drug.
He has spent the night behind bars and will appear in Central Local Court today.
Jamil Hopoate left the Broncos last year and hasn't yet signed with another club.
