Two years since first confirmed COVID-19 case arrived in Australia

Today marks two years since the first confirmed COVID-19 case was identified in Australia.

Since then, almost 1.9 million infections have been reported nationwide.

The first COVID-19 case arrived at Tullamarine Airport in Melbourne on January 25, 2020.

Two years since the first COVID-19 case arrived from Wuhan in Australia.

The case was a 50-year-old man who flew from the Chinese city Wuhan, the epicentre of the pandemic, to Australia.
