COVID-19 cases drop again in NSW, Queensland and Victoria

COVID-19 case numbers have dropped for a second day in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.

NSW has recorded 13,601 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

The state reported 18 COVID-related deaths.

There are 1491 people in hospital with the virus and 72 people admitted to ICU.

The number of people in hospital and ICU has also dropped since yesterday.

Queensland

Queensland has recorded 7591 new COVID-19 cases.

The state reported one COVID-19 related death.

There are 538 people in hospital with the virus and 22 people in ICU.

Victoria

Victoria has recorded 9559 new COVID-19 cases overnight.

Eight people have died with the virus.

There are 403 people in hospital and 21 people admitted to ICU.

Hospitalisations and ICU admissions have risen since yesterday, from 374 hospital admissions and 14 ICU admissions.
