Prime Minister promises no new taxes if Coalition is re-elected

The Prime Minister has significantly stepped up his language over the Solomon Islands security deal with Beijing – saying he will not allow a Chinese military base on Australia's doorstep.

It comes as the Government accuses Labor of a "racist attack" over an ad targeting Hong Kong born Liberal M-P Gladys Liu.

Meanwhile, Morrison has vowed there will be no new taxes if the Coalition is re-elected.

Mr Morrison was set to guarantee the Coalition government won't introduce or raise any new taxes and will deliver $100 billion worth of tax relief over the next four years.

Much of that will go to high-income earners.
