Thousands of beer cans have spilled across a US highway after a truck crash.

Kentucky police say the truck overturned on a ramp coming across an interstate highway.

It spilled its entire cargo of Bud Light beer cans, with the clean-up operation taking several hours.

Traffic remained backed up during the clean-up.

Police said nobody was hurt during the incident, with the driver able to get out of the truck after the crash.
