A paddleboarder has died after being pulled unresponsive from the water at a beach on the New South Wales mid north coast
Police were called to Scotts Head, about 30 kilometres south of Nambucca Heads, after a man in his 70s got into trouble in the water.
Nearby beach-goers took the man out of the water and started CPR until paramedics arrived.

The man could not be revived and died at the scene.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
This comes three weeks after a man in his 70s died in the same location.
