Man dead after series of events followed hit-and-run crash in Adelaide

A man has died after a series of events that followed a hit-and-run in Adelaide's north yesterday.

While investigating the hit-and-run, police said they received reports the alleged driver was at a property in Craigmore.

As police entered the property, they found two men fighting, with one holding a knife.

He told police he had self-harmed and was disarmed by the officers before CPR and first aid was administered.

The 32-year-old Salisbury North man died at the scene.

The other man, a 41-year-old from Craigmore, suffered wounds to his hands and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Hours earlier, a man was hit by a car during a domestic disturbance, just after 3pm in Andrews Farm.

The 26-year-old pedestrian was treated at the scene before being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police said the incident is being treated as a death in custody and police will be preparing a report for the coroner.
