Two-year-old girl hit by car in driveway in Sydney's west

A two-year-old girl is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car in Sydney's west this afternoon.

The car allegedly rolled backwards down a driveway and stuck the girl, on Valda Street in Blacktown about 3.20pm today.

NSW Police said no one was in the car at the time.

"NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the girl at the scene before taking her to Westmead Children's Hospital in a serious condition," NSW Police said in a statement.

Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the incident.
