Man charged after allegedly ploughing into two pedestrians

A man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged hit and run that left a man and a woman in hospital.

Queensland Police allege a man and woman were deliberately hit by a car at a business along Finucane Road in Alexandra Hills, west of Brisbane around 11.30pm yesterday.

The 25-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

She remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 24-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

He has been discharged.

A 34-year-old man was found by police in Salisbury with the car of interest.

He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of possessing utensils or pipes that had been used.

The man has been denied police bail to face court tomorrow.
