A driver has been charged with several offences after he allegedly ran over two men with a ute while over the legal limit, killing them.
Police allege the two men, aged 36 and 41, were lying on the road when they were run over by the ute on Condie Crescent in North Nowra, on the New South Wales South Coast, at about 7pm last night.
The 27-year-old male driver allegedly returned a positive breath test following the incident.

"Bystanders rendered first aid until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived; however, both men died at the scene," NSW Police said in a statement.
"(The driver) was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis, before being taken to hospital for mandatory testing."

The North Nowra man was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death-drive manner dangerous, negligent driving (occasioning death) and driving with middle-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear at Nowra Local Court today.
