Police investigating the alleged stabbing of a man in Brisbane's nightlife precinct have released an image of a 21-year-old man they wish to speak to.

It will be alleged seven men confronted Rial Malual, 21, on Constance Street in Fortitude Valley before one man allegedly stabbed him in the abdomen after 3.20am on July 2.

A 17-year-old boy allegedly stole Malual's gold necklace.

Police have released an image of Awan Awan, who they allege was involved in the incident.

Detectives are appealing for the 21-year-old man to make himself known to police.

He is described as having a dark complexion, dark eyes and black hair.

He is approximately 175cm tall with a proportionate build.

Anyone who sees Awan is urged not to approach him and to contact triple zero immediately.

Police are also investigating two other alleged stabbings that occurred around the same time in the Constance, Ann and Wickham Streets area.

Detectives are reviewing recorded vision of the area and appealing to the men involved to come forward.

A 17-year-old Bundamba boy was earlier charged with one count each of robbery with violence, grievous bodily harm and stealing in relation to the incident.
