A man in his 50s has been stabbed to death in a unit block on the Gold Coast.
Members of the public called authorities just after 1pm in regards to the behaviour of a man in his 20s.
Shortly after, police arrived at an address on Dutton Street in Coolangatta, where a man was found dead.

9News understands that the alleged offender walked to a nearby construction site and told the workers what unfolded before attempting to flee to Upper Coomera.
Police intercepted the wanted car and arrested the man shortly after 2pm.
Two separate crime scenes have been established, in Coolangatta and in Upper Coomera.

It is believed that the two men were known to each other, and there is no threat to the public.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident.
