Man arrested over alleged stabbing in Melbourne’s south-east

A man is in custody following an alleged stabbing in Melbourne's south-east.

Police were told a couple escaped in their car after a man they knew started assaulting the male driver on The Esplanade in Narre Warren just after 10.30pm last night. 

The victim managed to drive off but was involved in a crash with another car at the intersection of Grices Road and Glassscocks Road in Cranbourne North.

A car crash that occurred in Melbourne's south-east after a man allegedly.The victim managed to drive off but was involved in a collision with another car.

The male victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and is believed to have been stabbed.

No one else was seriously injured in the collision.

Police attended a nearby address and have taken a man into custody.

He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
