Undercover police have rammed a car in the middle of Melbourne after it was seen driving erratically.
A 35-year-old man was allegedly seen driving a Hyundai in a dangerous manner outside Southern Cross station today, just outside the headquarters of Victoria Police.
Witnesses said he was seen on the tram tracks, which led to police trying to stop him.

The driver was eventually cornered by police on Spencer Street, where he allegedly made a last-ditch effort to escape by attempting to break through a gap.
A police officer was forced to jump out of the way, as the car headed straight for a taxi.

Multiple taxis were caught up in the pile-up, and one driver was trapped, as police swarmed the driver.
He was eventually taken out of the car, with police having guns and Tasers drawn as he was apprehended.
The man was loaded onto a stretcher and taken to hospital under police guard.
