Queensland Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a man in Logan, south of Brisbane, overnight.

Police said a 48-year-old man was located with significant head injuries in the garage of an Augustus Street home in Kingston, around 7pm last night.

The man died at scene. Police believe the man was residing at that address.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations are ongoing.

A 35-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries.
