The man who died in a freak landslide in the NSW Blue Mountains has been identified as a high-profile lawyer on holidays with his family.
British-born Mehraab Nazir, 49, and his nine-year-old son were killed when a shelf of rock fell on his family on a path near Wentworth Falls on Monday.
His wife Ana Nazir, 50, and their other son, 14, remain in a critical condition in hospital after they were winched out of the bushland.

Their 15-year-old daughter escaped the tragedy physically unharmed, and was able to contact and then help emergency services locate her family after the landslip.
Mr Nazir was finance lawyer and partner at Watson Farley & Williams, based in Singapore.
On their website he was described as specialising in "complex cross-border finance transactions with a particular focus on the transportation and energy sectors".
Most of the tracks in the Wentworth Falls area of the Blue Mountains have been closed by NSW Parks and Wildlife until further notice.
The family's religious community has also paid tribute.
"The Australian Zoroastrian Association of NSW expresses their sincerest condolences to the Nazir family and their relatives and friends," president Zubin Appoo said in a statement.
"What's happened is beyond tragic.
"Everyone is shocked and so many in our community are reaching out to offer support in any way they can.
"The global Zoroastrian community is a small and tight community.
"Tributes and support from the various Zoroastrian associations in Australia are flooding in.
"The Sydney Zoroastrian community respects the family's privacy and stands by ready to provide any necessary support and care.
"Hamdandhagi is the Zoroastrian principle of community solidarity with the family – and that's what we're seeing."
A two-storey home on Sydney's North Shore has been engulfed in flames, with the elderly owner narrowly escaping.
More than 20 firefighters battled the blaze, which tore through the roof of the home on Raglan Street in Mosman after 2.30pm today.
The owner was inside at the time the fire broke out but escaped unharmed.

Neighbours were shocked by the fire after the city saw a rather wet day.
"Very surprising that there is a fire in Mosman in a house with a tile roof on a day where it's pouring with rain," one resident said.
9News understands the owners of the home were due to start renovating.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

A 25-year-old former student from Perth has been jailed for 11 years after the AFP watched him move millions of dollars' worth of methamphetamine around the city's parks.
Willetton man Christian Tachev was employed by a bikie-linked drug ring as a courier when he was arrested this month by the AFP.
The court heard Tachev was sent GPS coordinates from his boss that told him where to pick up and drop off drugs, including burying them in bushland around suburban Perth.

AFP officers located drugs buried by Tachev on two separate occasions in 2021 in bushland in Edgewater and Queens Park.
The total haul seized had a street value of about $15 million.
The former Curtin University student, then aged 24, was arrested near his northern suburbs business where police found more than $17,000 cash, a hand shovel and dirty gardening gloves inside his car.
AFP Senior Constable Josh Gilmour said 15kg of meth could potentially have been sold to 150,000 people in street deals.
"People who move cash and drugs for criminal syndicates play a vital role in helping other members to profit from this damaging trade," he said.
"The AFP and our partners are working tirelessly to stop drugs from reaching our community and arresting those involved in the distribution."
