The innocent neighbour who was tragically killed during a horrific shooting on rural property in Queensland will be laid to rest today.
Alan Dare died after going to investigate gunshots at a neighbouring property in Wieambilla, when he was fatally shot along with constables Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold.
The 58-year-old will be honoured at a private funeral in Brisbane's south west.

Dare will also receive a posthumous medal for bravery from the Queensland Police Service.
His family will be presented with that next year.
Last Tuesday, police stood alongside his family in a guard of honour as he was taken from the scene.
Today he will have a police escort as he is moved from Ipswich to Wacol.
More than 50 classic cars are expected to join the procession.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects is being encouraged to line the street as they pass.
A fundraising drive for his family has raised more than $90,000.
Earlier this week, thousands gathered to farewell Matthew Arnold and Rachel McCrow at a memorial in Brisbane.
